On Friday, May 26, officials held a 'coronation' ceremony, effectively christening the site that will become Topgolf's sports entertainment center. Construction of the 68,000-square-foot driving range and entertainment venue — part of a massive facelift on the municipal site — will be operated by Dallas-based Topgolf International. McCarthy Construction hosted the 'topping' ceremony at the construction site, at the former municipal golf course in Montebello. The ceremony represented the completion of the three-story steel-framed superstructure that will become the Topgolf facility.
